As part of a Majority Coalition in the House of Representatives, Representative Tarr chairs two committees helping to forge a new direction for fiscal policy in Alaska.
Co-Chair of the Alaska Legislature's Oil and Gas Fiscal System Working Group and the House Resources Committee. In these roles she was able to work across party lines to successfully negotiate unanimous support to reform a cash credit program for the oil industry. This helped to balance the budget and maintain critical services during an economic crisis fueled by low oil prices.
